Maria Munro is a Venezuelan-born producer and emerging director based in Vancouver, Canada. Her work focuses on personal narratives that explore identity, memory, and cultural connection. Alongside longtime creative partner Ross Munro, she has co-produced several documentary shorts, including Broken Palace, European Tour '73, and The Moviegoer (Leo Award nominee). Her directorial debut, Sisters (2025), is a deeply personal film that marks a bold new chapter in her storytelling journey
Ross Munro is a Canadian screenwriter, director, and musician whose work blends emotional storytelling with a strong sense of atmosphere and place. He has directed and co-produced numerous acclaimed documentaries with Maria Munro, and contributed original music to several projects, including the score for Sisters. Ross’s film credits include award-winning screenplays, shorts and feature films, as well as original songs for A Legacy of Whining and European Tour '73. His creative vision is driven by a commitment to authenticity and artistic collaboration.
Julia Hostetler is a skilled editor and colourist with a flair for storytelling, whether she's working on high-energy commercials for brands like VIFF, McDonald's, and lululemon, or diving into indie films. She’s edited the feature Early Bird and the documentary The Medical Illusion, and is a frequent collaborator with Maria and Ross Munro—cutting trailers, grading shorts, and more. Most recently, Julia brought her eye for detail to the film Sisters as both editor and colourist.
